Medical imaging is often the basis for correct diagnosis and effective cure planning, but sometimes X-rays are necessary throughout the treatment to follow developments and confirm results. The possibility to produce X-rays within the clinic is important to accelerate procedures and start with the cures as soon as possible. It also aids real time monitoring of ongoing procedures.

Dental radiology allows the discovery of the most common diseases, such as tooth decay, but it is very important for assessing the overall development of teeth. X-rays are done to assess damage after traumas or to identify pathological modifications to tissue.

At Riviera Dent, we use Trophy Ellities for intraoral RVG imaging (radiovisiography), while for 2D and 3D imaging of the teeth and jaws, we use the most modern devices from the renowned manufacturer Planmeca, ProOne and ProMax 3D. As already stated, we offer the following:

RVG teeth scan

Orthopantomography

3D CT scan

Teleradiography

Intraoral imaging – RVG – used to image a specific tooth.

2D Panoramic scan – Orthopantomography – in addition to showing the denture, it also provides insight into the jawbones and maxillary sinuses, which enables an examination of possible damage, and is also crucial when planning implantological procedures.

CBCT – 3D scan –used when a 2D scan is not sufficient or when we need insight into the third dimension, such as when planning implantology and major surgical procedures. The 3D image gives us complete information down to the smallest details.
